Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute Industrial Hygiene projects
  • Identify resources and manage project requirements
  • Provide directions to the team for executing projects
  • Ensure that all work performed is in compliance set forth by the regulatory agencies at all times.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Review and approve all deliverables before passing the information to the clients
  • Track project related team hours and expenses in order to remain within project budget
  • Prepare and maintain quality assurance procedures for the department.
  • Train & supervise team members for flawless teamwork
  • Minimize the company’s exposure and risk on all projects
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Maintain continued communication with prospect and existing clients on regular basis
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, billing rates and utilization as per requirements
  • Understands and effectively uses the company’s pricing model and billing procedures
  • Remain at least 80% billable at all times.
  • Increase Department profitability in revenue by at least 10% annually
  • Prepare appropriate proposals for projects
  • Hold regular safety meetings with the team
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to the Manager
  • Performs all duties as assigned by the Manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Disciplines, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Industry, or Earth Sciences preferred
  • Three (3) plus years of related field experience; including AHERA Inspections & Mold /Indoor Air Quality Sampling

Required Certifications:

  • AHERA Building Inspector Lead (Pb) in Construction Mold in Construction
  • 40 Hrs HAZWOPER OSHA 510-Safety in Construction Healthy Home Cert
  • Current knowledge of Industrial Hygiene requirements as per EPA, OSHA, PSCAA and L&I, and workplace safety
  • Experience in Mold sampling/remediation and Indoor Air Quality protocols
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships and work in a team environment
  • Requires a strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Detail oriented and be able to maintain highest levels of accuracy in all documentations

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • The functions of this position are performed primarily outside the office and may require working outdoors in all weather conditions, with all noise levels, in hazardous conditions, in contact with hazardous materials and odors, and on the full range of outdoor work surfaces
  • The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Requires the ability to carry a 20 ft. ladder and climb ladders without the fear of heights
  • Must be willing and able to enter and/or crawl into confined spaces
  • Must be physically fit and able to pass medical exams, to wear respirators
  • The ability to stand for sustained periods of time, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, reach and walk without assistance
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to frequently travel to project sites
  • The ability to conduct repetitive motions using hands, wrists, and fingers
  • The ability to talk and hear at normal speaking levels
  • The ability to pick, pinch, and type without assistance
  • Must be able to work in proximity to chemicals, noise, high temperatures and odors
