Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting Transactions
  • Create and process daily invoices
  • Apply/record daily payments (Credit Card, Check, ACH, etc.)
  • Manage Account Receivables (AR) and Account Payables (AP) including collections.
  • Manage bank and credit cards statements
  • Compute and file monthly, quarterly and annual taxes
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure correct postings
  • Review clients’ contracts/payment terms to ensure NVL’s interests are protected
  • Apply principles of accounting and use good judgement when determining appropriate procedures for preparation and maintenance of accounting records, transaction research and reporting
  • Work with company CPA to ensure correct and accurate statements are created and all accounts are balanced in Quick Books

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with Paychex
  • Detailed Oriented
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software/s
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Typing speed no less than 40WPM
  • Receive and process payments received through (Authorized.net, Clover, ACH)
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Strong communication skills for verbal and/or written follow up with clients
  • Must be knowledgeable in local, state and federal taxation guidelines
  • Must demonstrate strong people and problem-solving skills
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office in PC’s, spreadsheets and accounting software including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and QuickBooks
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, organize and manage workflow effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone, and via email
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and colleagues
  • Requires a high degree of flexibility and a professional customer service attitude
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • The functions of this position are performed primarily in an office environment
  • Operates a personal computer, calculator, and other office related equipment
  • Regular activities include frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting and climbing stairs
  • Requires close visual acuity for viewing a computer screen and reading, preparing and analyzing data
  • Ability to speak, hear, and communicate clearly while handling staff inquiries, telephone calls and customer requests
  • Requires repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and fingers for typing at a standard keyboard, performing math calculations
  • The ability to lift 30 pounds
